Award-winning authors to speak at library

Two award-winning authors will be guest speakers at the Monday, Aug. 31, meeting of the Friends of the Taylor County Public Library. The free program, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will be held at the library and the public is invited to attend.

Mary Jane Ryals is a novelist, short story writer and poet who was named the “Poet Laureate of North Florida.” Her books include “Cookie & Me” and The Moving Waters.”

Susan Cerulean is a writer and naturalist who is author of “Coming to Pass: Florida’s Coastal Islands in a Gulf of Change” and “Tracking Desire: A Journey
