Hampton denies any wrongdoing

Perry City Councilwoman Shirlie Hampton denied assertions that she either directly, or indirectly, issued orders to city employees in a post on her social media page Friday.

The response followed an article in Friday’s Perry News-Herald in which City Manager Bob Brown stated Hampton has a long-standing pattern of addressing city employees inappropriately.
