    Senators back a new primary school

    With the Taylor County School District once again seeking state funding to construct a new Perry Primary School, two state senators have joined the cause, penning a letter to Commissioner of Education Pam Stewart on their behalf.

    Senator Don Gaetz, chair of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, and Vice-Chair Bill Montford, whose district includes Taylor County, sent the letter Aug. 20 asking Stewart to once again recommend four proposed projects in Taylor, Jefferson, Liberty and Jackson counties for funding.
