The Taylor County School District’s request for state funding to construct a new Perry Primary School will be available for consideration by the governor and Florida Legislature after it and three other districts did not receive funding last year.
Earlier this month, Florida Commissioner of Education Pam Stewart responded to a letter sent to her by Senator Don Gaetz, chair of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Education, and Vice-Chair Bill Montford, whose district includes Taylor County, asking that Stewart once again recommend four proposed projects in Taylor, Jefferson, Liberty and Jackson counties for funding.
