In a surprise announcement Thursday morning, the Texas-based company, Applied Gaia Corporation, unveiled plans to construct a $60 million plant in Taylor County expected to employ 300 people with a total annual salary topping $12.4 million.
Perry Natural Technologies, an Applied Gaia company, will build what officials are calling the country’s largest pyrolysis-to-energy and biochar plant.
