Under an agreement approved Tuesday, the Perry City Council will sell a 55-acre parcel on Foley Road to Applied Gaia, the company planning to construct a $60 million biomass plant in Taylor County under its subsidiary, Perry Natural Technologies.
In addition to paying $1.3 million for the property, along with $67,000 for two nearby parcels, the company agreed to give the city a $3,050,000 grant for a portion of the “extensive expenses and liabilities” the city has incurred “in efforts to locate a manufacturing facility on the property,” the agreement states.
