New alert could save firefighter lives

The City of Perry Fire Department has launched an inspection campaign of area buildings and is placing safety alerts that may save lives should disaster strike on qualifying buildings.

The bright red emblems feature the standard letters “F,” “R” or “R” and have been affixed to several buildings downtown (F, floor; R, roof; and RF, floor and roof).
