$365,000 later, SR 51 opens

Seven weeks after a sinkhole first closed SR 51 between Steinhatchee and Tennille, the work to repair the highway is finally complete and the highway is once again fully open.

According to Florid Department of Transportation (FDOT) officials, the repairs were finished Thursday, Oct. 1.
