Boat ramp fee to increase?

The Taylor County Commission is considering major changes for people who use public boat ramps, including nearly doubling the cost of an annual permit sticker and potentially eliminating daily passes altogether.

Last week the board voted 4-0 to hold a public hearing to consider raising the annual sticker price for the county’s public boat ramps from $20 to $35. At the same time, the board may also vote to eliminate the $5 daily passes available at boat ramp sites.
