Mixon presents genealogy research workshop Monday

Taylor County Native Donna O’Steen Mixon will conduct a workshop on genealogy research at the Monday, Oct. 19, meeting of the Taylor County Historical Society.

“Mixon has done extensive research on genealogy, particularly on her family and other families, and she has traveled around the world. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore your roots with someone who has the expertise and knowledge to put you on the right track,” Program Director Morris Steen said.

Monday’s meeting will start at 7 p.m.

“Bring your laptop computers, but come anyway if you don’t have a laptop. She will use the society’s new, state-of-art technology in demonstrating research techniques and strategies. Following her presentation, refreshments will be served. Everyone is invited.”
