The Gulf Coast Hooks 8U traveling baseball team from Perry and Madison, competed in the U.S.A.T.T. October Howl in Bainbridge, Ga., last weekend and won the championship in dominating fashion.
The Hooks went 4-0 on the day outscoring the competition 86-33 while hitting 16 homeruns. All 4 games were won by run rule.
In pool play the Hooks beat McIntyre Baseball Academy of Thomasville, Ga., by a score of 20-4 and The Naturals from Ozark, Ala., by a score of 18-3 to take the top seed going into single elimination play.
