Chain reaction

Despite extensive damage to both vehicles, everyone involved in this two-vehicle crash reportedly escaped with minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported Mikayla Vachel Lamb, 18, of Old Town, was driving south on U.S. 19 Thursday near Deer Run Road when she reached down to adjust the radio, causing her car to cross the center line. Lamb over-corrected, sending the vehicle across the median and into the northbound lanes, where it struck a truck driven by Stephen Linder Fernandez, 26, of Tallahassee. The truck overturned and came to a rest on its roof.
