B&G Club celebrates 25 years Nov. 12

The Boys & Girls Club of Taylor County invites the community to its 25th anniversary celebration Thursday, Nov. 12, at 6 p.m., at the club’s new building on 918 North Washington Street.

“This event marks 25 years of serving the youth of Taylor County. The evening will include dinner, an auction and a ribbon-cutting ceremony for our new facility. The action items were donated by local businesses and range from pizza and a movie to half-carat diamond earrings,” Director Emily Ketring said.

The Boys & Girls Club drumline and cheerleaders will perform. Representative Halsey Beshears will be the event’s emcee.

“We will welcome special guest Jim Clark, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of America, as we celebrate 25 years of youth service with our community.”
