Service, sacrifices honored

Thank you.

Two words. Eight letters.

A simple courtesy most days.

But on Nov. 11, the words “earn their stripes” and are elevated to a meaning far beyond the everyday when individuals come together as “proud, grateful Americans” to express their appreciation for the nation’s veterans.

Locally, Taylor County residents held a three-fold salute to their military sons and daughters starting with the 29th annual Veterans Day Ceremony hosted by JROTC at the high school.
