Gov. Scott includes primary school in proposed budget

For the second consecutive year, the Taylor County School District’s request for state funding to construct a new Perry Primary School has been included in Gov. Rick Scott’s suggested budget.

The governor released his $79.3 billion budget proposal Monday and it includes a total of $75.3 million in funding for the Florida Department of Education’s (DOE) Special Facilities Construction Account.
