The Council on Culture & Arts for Tallahassee-Leon County (COCA) is turning 30 and in celebration of that anniversary, iPhotofest 2015 will focus on one of the most significant advancements in modern photography–the smart phone.
Photography has changed dramatically in the last three decades. The first digital cameras were introduced to consumers 25 years ago and it’s been 10 years since the number of camera phones surpassed the number of digital cameras sold worldwide. Smart phone technology has become universal and has given rise to a new generation of photographers. COCA shares the work of some of our local photographers to show how they use a smart phone, digital apps and their artist’s eye.
