Notwithstanding a number of threatened federal lawsuits, the state’s congressional district map appears to be finally settled after the Florida Supreme Court issued a split ruling Wednesday affirming a lower court’s decision to choose a map developed by the groups which challenged the constitutionality of the legislature’s previous version.
The decision and resulting new map will have a major impact on Taylor County’s representation in Washington, D.C.
