Bankrupt BioNitrogen appoints new CEO

In the month since BioNitrogen Holdings Corp. filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, the company has appointed board member Graham Copley as its new CEO and is now seeking permission from the court to seek post-petition financing to fund its legal fees and expenses from a company which counts Copley as a principal and shareholder.

BioNitrogen and its various affiliates filed voluntary bankruptcy petitions on Nov. 3; the cases have since been consolidated in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court’s Southern District of Florida.
