Scam Alert! Callers claiming to be IRS agents targeting Taylor County

Scam Alert: Several residents have reported receiving phone calls from individuals claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and threatening to send law enforcement officials to their door.

“They are telling people this is their last and final chance to get their taxes cleared before they send FBI agents to their door,” officials said.

“This is a scam. Do not give anyone your personal information and if you have concerns, please contact local authorities.”
