Superintendent Paul Dyal did not carry the traditional bouquet of roses when he entered Taylor Technical Institute (TTI) Welding Instructor Tim Brown’s classroom Friday afternoon to announce the 17-year-veteran had been chosen as the Taylor County School District’s Teacher of the Year.
Instead, Dyal, who was followed by TTI Director Judy Johnson along with a handful of district administrators, delivered a gift basket to mark the occasion.
