With an ever increasing emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) in schools, several teachers at Taylor County High School (TCHS) are working to put those disciplines directly in the hands of students, thanks to a series of grants from corporate and non-profit sponsors.
This year, students in a variety of science classes and after-school programs will be building underwater vehicles, designing electronics, constructing drones, studying forensics and farming tilapia to create a sustainable hydroponic garden.
