Ex-boyfriend charged in Thomas’ stabbing death

Colleen Charles Thomas, 59, loved nothing more than being on a boat skimming across the Gulf.

That, and the University of Florida Gators.

“She loved the water. It was her getaway,” friend and co-worker Summer Summers said. “And she was a big Gator fan.”

Thomas’ life came to a tragic end Tuesday, Feb. 9, when she was found stabbed to death in a residence on Riverside Drive in Steinhatchee.

Her former boyfriend, 49-year-old Ray Joseph Parker Jr., also known as “Little Ray,” was arrested Friday, Feb. 12, and charged with first degree murder.
