$290,000 grant would fund replacing docks at the Steinhatchee boat ramp

The Taylor County Commission agreed this week to move forward with applying for a grant to fund an estimated $290,000 project to replace the existing docks at the Steinhatchee boat ramp.

The board held the first of two public hearings Monday evening to consider the current funding cycle of the Florida Boating Improvement Program (FBIP), which is administered by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The second hearing will be held during the commission’s regular meeting on Tuesday, March 22, which begins at 6 p.m.
