Hodges Park in Keaton Beach has received a major facelift from county crews who repainted the facility, cleared away much of the existing plant growth and deposited about 800 tons of new sand.
The park was closed last week to facilitate the work, which was funded through a $50,000 Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program (FRDAP) grant along with local money, including $20,000 allocated last week by the Taylor County Commission to purchase additional sand.
