Fire at Gilman’s

Taylor County Fire Rescue and the City of Perry Fire Department responded to a “chip bin” fire at Gilman Building Products Monday, shortly after 1 p.m.

Crews extinguished lower level and ground fires using hand lines; the chip bin and conveyer were extinguished using Ladder Truck 1. Crews arrived on scene at approximately 1:15 and the fire was out about 10 minutes later.
