    June trial set for Whiddons for Strickland murder

    While not charged as co-defendants, Rodney Whiddon and his son, Manden, will be tried together for their role in the June 2015 murder of local educator Shelly Strickland.

    Strickland’s nephew, Garrett Arrowood, is currently serving a life sentence after a Taylor County jury found him guilty April 22 of first degree murder following a four-day trial.
