Record baseball tourney set for May 14

As many of 1,200 to 1,600 people are expected in Perry this weekend for the largest baseball tournament ever hosted at the Taylor County Sports Complex boasting as many of 30 teams from North Florida and South Georgia.

Organized by Peach State Diamond Sports, a travel baseball league, the one-day event set for Saturday, May 14, is the fourth tournament hosted at the complex this year, but “by far the largest,” according to County Recreation Coordinator Pat Dew.
