Man beaten with bat, hit by car; one arrest made

A Perry man remains in critical, but stable condition at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital’s ICU after being struck by a car Tuesday evening, May 10, during an escalating confrontation that began with an argument over dirty laundry.

Neil Hatcher, 47, was unconscious and unresponsive when emergency responders arrived on scene at 1101 South Orange Street. He was airlifted to Tallahassee and admitted to critical care ICU.
