SRWMD awards $97,000 grant for Stephens Spring restoration

The Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) governing board has awarded Taylor County a $97,000 grant to help fund the restoration of Stephens Spring in Steinhatchee.

The project was one of 15 projects approved for funding through SRWMD’s Regional Initiative Valuing Environmental Resources (RIVER) program during the board’s Thursday, May 12, meeting held at the Steinhatchee Landing conference center.
