Linda English called her fund-raising efforts for Our Father’s Storehouse “a mission led from my heart.” She challenged youth taking part in New Home Baptist Church’s annual Vacation Bible School to see who could raise the most money for the food bank–the boys or the girls.
“If the boys won, I would be slimed..if the girls won, Brother (Jeff) Stading would be slimed. They ended up raising so much money, we were both slimed! We averaged 95 children a day and they raised more than $1,400 during the one week of Bible school,” she said.
