Attorneys for Death Row inmate Douglas R. Meeks, who turned 63 on June 28, said Thursday they were not ready to move forward with a (re)sentencing trial for the convicted double-murderer.
Judge Greg Parker had previously handed down a ruling that found Meeks was not intellectually disabled and an August trial date was set. (Meeks’ appeal for being intellectually disabled has been working its way through the court for the past two years.)
