While real property values remained relatively level this year, a five-percent drop in tangible personal property value has left the Taylor County Commission and Taylor County School Board facing steep deficits as they began their budget cycles this week.
At the request of the commission, Property Appraiser Bruce Ratliff made a presentation to the board Thursday morning to discuss the drop in values as well as recent trends.
