In an effort to reduce vandalism and improve maintenance at some of its more remote parks, the Taylor County Commission is exploring the possibility of establishing an RV site at some of its facilities where a caretaker could live on a temporary basis.
The possibility came up during the commission’s ongoing budget discussions and the board voted unanimously at its regular meeting Monday, Aug. 1, to task county staff with determining the cost of establishing the RV sites and developing a plan for how the caretaker program would be run.
