Pushed by sustained winds of 35-50 mph, wildfires swept across Oklahoma in February and March of this year, consuming more than 367,000 acres of ranch and forest lands.
Oklahoma’s State Forester sent a call for help through the South Central Forest Fire Company. Florida answered by dispatching five members of the Florida Forest Service (FFS) to assist in the battle against the rapidly spreading wildfires.
