The Taylor County Bulldogs jumped out to a 22-6 halftime lead and overcame a second-half comeback attempt to open the 2016 regular season with an impressive 38-26 victory over the Dixie County Bears in a hard-fought rivalry game Friday night in Dorsett Stadium.
The Bulldogs used a significant size advantage to dominate both lines of scrimmage, but the Bears showed great heart, returning the second half kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown and returning a fumble 65 yards for another touchdown in the 4th quarter to keep the game close.
