The parade of resolutions regarding Foley Cellulose Mill’s Fenholloway pipeline project is expected to continue into September, with both the Leon County Commission and the Tallahassee City Commission expected to follow Wakulla County and consider passing resolutions opposing the projects.
The City of Perry, meanwhile, voted last week to join the Taylor County Commission in passing a resolution supporting both the mill and the project. Other local agencies, including the Perry-Taylor County Chamber of Commerce and the Taylor County Tourism Development Council, as well as the county’s constitutional officers, have penned letters of support which were sent to the county’s state and federal representatives and surrounding county commissions.
