Woman dies in house fire

A 79-year-old Perry woman died in a house fire early Friday morning, Sept. 2, at her home on Third Street.

Preliminary reports indicate Verna L. Woodfaulk is believed to have succumbed to smoke inhalation and that the fire was accidental as well as possibly storm-related.
