The dark water, heaving as if alive, rushed the building in the black hours of night. Furniture—tables, chairs and booths—was tossed around as if it weighed no more than a stack of Legos.

Surveillance cameras captured the destruction as storm surge waters decimated the interior of a longtime Steinhatchee landmark, Roy’s Restaurant.
