Hurricane Hermine forced much of Taylor County into a standstill, but some things wait for nothing, and state election law is one of them.
While many in the community were waking up to assess the damage left behind by the storm, Supervisor of Elections Dana Southerland was heading to the courthouse to oversee a canvassing board meeting to count the 16 provisional ballots cast during the Primary Election held three days prior.
