Pitts gets probation for child porn possession

Former longtime city employee, Edward Carl Pitts, 63, pled guilty as charged Monday morning, Sept. 12, to four counts of possession of child pornography and was sentenced to five years of sex offender probation.

The sentence was part of an agreement reached between Pitts and the State Attorney’s Office. He will be subject to electronic monitoring and will be added to the sex offender registry.
