Fire claims home

An electrical fire, possibly sparked by a surge when power was restored in the Will Clark Road neighborhood Sept. 4, is believed to be the cause of a house fire that claimed a singlewide mobile home.

No one was home when the fire started and no injuries were reported. Taylor County Fire-Rescue crews arrived at the 309 Will Clark Road residence at 5:30 p.m.
