History lesson: it was 14,550 years ago…

While Taylor County’s modern history reaches back 160 years, its native story dates back more than 14,000 years ago.

Florida State University (FSU) assistant professor of anthropology Dr. Jessi Halligan will discuss how recent finds in the Aucilla River shed light on the First Americans who called this land home during a special program Monday, Sept. 19, at the Taylor County Historical Society starting at 7 p.m.
