Adopt a pet & more Sept. 17

The pet adoption event planned this Saturday, Sept. 17, at Tractor Supply Company will support numerous local animal rescue groups, including Forest Capital Humane Society, Meow or Never, Taylor County Animal Control and Helping Hands of the Shelter.

Shuttered Moments will offer pet photos for $2 donations with the funds benefiting the rescue group of your choice.

“Adopt a pet during the event and your image will be free. The photo session is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,” organizers said “So if you’re a proud pet owner–or would like to be–join us in celebrating our furry friends for Pet Appreciation Week. There will also be face painting, horse rides, pet grooming and dog wash hosted by the Point of Grace seniors (with proceeds benefiting their senior trip fund.)”

Concessions will also be available.
