Clown ‘game’ sparks Facebook firestorm, panic

A defunct card game from 2011 that billed itself as a “survival horror tabletop card game with a sense of humor” is no laughing matter for law enforcement as its influence stretches across the country, seemingly inspiring a “creepy clown” phenomenon that touched off a Facebook firestorm here Sunday.

“Although we have received widespread reports of clown sightings throughout the city and county, no one in a clown outfit has been found,” Perry Police Department Det. Sgt. Lin Gray said.
