Hamption Springs: Historic fountain comes home

Surrounded by wild palms, towering oaks and lush magnolia trees, Hotel Hampton was an unexpected jewel of refinement nestled in the heart of nature’s virgin wilderness at the turn of the century.

Its wide verandas and cool shade radiated an atmosphere of peace and informal contentment.

(From left) Historical Society President J.T. Davis and City Manager Bob Brown accepted the donation on behalf of the community. Code Enforcement Officer Bobby Counce was also on hand for the event.
