Final city budget hearing today at 5

The Perry City Council will take a final vote on its proposed 2016-17 budget during a special hearing tonight (Friday) starting at 5 p.m.\

The current proposed budget calls for the abatement a “temporary” gas rate discount that has been in place 15 years. The new rates would result in an additional 10¢ per (hundred) cubic foot on the city’s portion of natural gas charges (a projected $8/month increase for households).
