Representatives with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Florida Division of Emergency Management met with local officials Tuesday morning to discuss Taylor County’s public assistance declaration, through which local governments and authorities can apply for reimbursement for damages and expenses as a result of Hurricane Hermine.
Taylor County residents are still not eligible for individual assistance from FEMA, but the county was included in President Barack Obama’s public assistance declaration.
