Gunter: ‘It’s time to let teachers teach’

With a background of both civic and military service, Daryll Gunter said that wealth of experience has prepared him to lead the Taylor County School District as superintendent.

“I grew up in Taylor County and am proud to call it home. My wife, Dawn, and I are raising our two children here. I have been privileged to serve on the county commission for six years, two years as chairman. I also served on the Perry City Council for four years, two years as mayor. I am very proud to teach at the Taylor County Middle School, first starting in 2010. Additionally, I studied government at Florida State University with a focus on public management,” Gunter said.
