Registration deadline is extended to Tuesday

The deadline to register to vote in the Nov. 8 General Election has been extended a second time, with the date now pushed back to Tuesday, Oct. 18.

Judge Mark E. Walker with the US District Court for the Northern District of Florida made the decision Wednesday following a hearing in a case brought by the Florida Democratic Party after Gov. Rick Scott refused to push back the deadline in the wake of Hurricane Matthew.
