Olympian Gino Hall, left, was the man of the hour Saturday at a reception hosted by local family members at Loughridge Park.

One of the lighter moments came when a young boy, whose mother had just explained how Hall had won the medal by running, approached the gold medalist and asked, “Wanna race?” Hall replied, “Oh no, I wouldn’t want to lose in front of all these people.”
